There is nothing like a beautiful, clear blue skied winters day in Wollongong. Winter is one of my favourite times of the years to do family portraits and lifestyle sessions. The days are much shorter, which means that the optimal time and the most beautiful light is available to us much earlier in the day. This gorgeous family was able to rock up at 3.30pm and were ready to get their little cherubs home by 4.30pm.
Sessions at the height of summer usually don’t begin until 7.30 to 8pm and we all know what happens to tired hungry kids at that hour (witching hour and bed time is no joke! ????). As lovely and warm as it is at the beach in spring and summer, it also pays to think about how your little people are going to act and react at being out at those times.
This was such a beautiful session, everything just fell into place. I may have even audibly squealed out with delight when I saw all of those beautiful little streams of light beaming down on them like they were some how being illuminated with a spot light. And as you scroll down you will see just how clever and strong little Ayla and Arlen are, absolute magic!!
